Reflecting on Pinnacle Dance Platform 2025
We brought over 100 young people to the Albany Theatre to share their talent—and they absolutely smashed it. Pinnacle Dance Platform 2025 was everything we dreamed of: buzzing energy, powerful performances, bold creativity, and a true sense of community. From workshops with Northern Rascals, Seeta Patel Dance, and Ascension to the final showcase filled with solos, group pieces, and inclusive work, the day celebrated what young people do best—express themselves with courage and joy. The theatre pulsed with pride, excitement, and connection as families and friends watched these dancers shine. For many, it was more than just a performance—it was a formative experience that pushed boundaries, built confidence, and inspired future dreams. We created Pinnacle because we know how important it is for young people to feel seen, valued, and unstoppable.
And now, we’re ready to do it again.
So, save the date: Saturday 21st March 2026.

We are looking for you!
Pinnacle Dance Platform is an inclusive youth platform that celebrates the talent of young people in Coventry, Warwickshire and the wider West Midlands.
We invite you to apply for the opportunity to create and perform your very own choreography, in any dance style, to perform in front of other local groups and audiences in spring time.

The pilot of Pinnacle 2025 took place on Saturday 15th March 2025 at The Albany Theatre, Coventry.
Applicants submitted a work-in-progress video of their choreography with a short description about the piece and group.
Successful performers enjoyed inspiring dance workshops by leading professionals in the industry, followed by an evening performance with bespoke feedback from a professional panel.
Does this interest you or your dance group?
To be eligible you must have:
Maximum 30 dancers in a group (solos very welcome)
Dancers aged between 11-19 (up to 30 years for individuals with disabilities)
Piece between 3-7 minutes in length

We also offer bespoke, Pinnacle-inspired school or community workshops. An Ascension workshop to engage young people in Pinnacle Dance Platform, a performance opportunity celebrating the talent of young people in Coventry & Warwickshire.
Explore our physical dance style in a fun and creative session that encourages creative expression to inspire new choreography and be used in future performances. Whether young people participate in the current platform or not, it will give them an understanding of performance skills and creative tools, as well as local opportunities and motivate participants to take part in future years.
